Unicorn HRO offers web-based reporting solution for HR / Benefits / Payroll data of their ICON application. This ICON application and Reporting solution are offered to customers as a SaaS Model. Since 1982, the fully integrated benefits, payroll and human resources solutions have been helping clients do business with greater efficiency, profitability, insight and synergy.

Headquartered in Florham Park, NJ, Unicorn HRO services the needs of more than 800 domestic and international companies representing over 3 million employees. The company also has offices in Raleigh, NC; Seattle, WA; Houston, TX; and Dallas, TX.   Data silos, multiple systems, limited reporting/analytics, old technology, no access control. Customer had a Progress based application environment and client/server based reporting system; they needed to move to a web based reporting system that would provide the appropriate row level security and access control in a multi-tenant environment.    Unicorn clients also needed a dashboard, drill-through reports and the ability to design their own reports with a WYSIWYG editor. LogicMatter was selected for its Agile BI process flexibility and cloud BI team capability.

LogicMatter also helped Unicorn in Migration to SQL server 2012 from SQL server 2008.

Titus is a 120 year old, UK-based manufacturing firm with operations in 70+ countries. It manufactures automated assembly systems, production tools, and die-casting technologies to service customers. Titus supplies billions of parts to IKEA. Company having 5 divisions, 10 global offices in EU, US, UK and ROW.

In order to generate key Weekly Report for management, Analysts spent hours running a variety of reports in the legacy systems, cutting and pasting the data to spreadsheets, manipulating spreadsheets to remove rows and columns, re-ordering information, integrating other excel data with it and then emailing the reports to the stakeholders. Analysts time was spent making reports instead of analyzing it and recommending improvements. This process was error prone and inconsistent due to manual steps. It did not allow for any ad-hoc reporting and resulted in difficulty with customer management and delayed business decisions.

LogicMatter also helped to manage for a while the CRM side and successfully migrated the entire group of Titus companies from the oldest legacy system (BAAN) to the latest ERP system (INFOR), Migration to newer version of SQL server and a third Cloud migration from Rackspace to Azure

Uplift, founded in 1996, is a 19k students, 40 school, 20 campus Charter School network based in North Texas. It has a globally recognized international program and is funded by Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and the Gates Foundation. The Uplift goal is to completely CLOSE the achievement gap between students, regardless of ethnic or socio-economic background, while ensuring that 100% of their students graduate and enroll in college. The Uplift’s mission is to create and sustain public schools of excellence by creating an empowering and results-oriented culture. This means managing and improving both student and teacher performance with accurate, timely, and consistent data available on-demand.

Integration of new data sources was cumbersome and slow, data residing in multiple systems like PowerSchool SIS (Student Information System), external assessments (SAP, ACT, AP, ITBS etc.), interim assessments (3rd party web based tools), teacher evaluation forms (.NET forms) and other tools such as Naviance (college and alumni tracking), Study Island (online assessments and assignments), Finance and HR systems.

Additionally it did not have the required necessary technical skills for data and analytics to meet its higher goals.

AllCargo is one of India’s largest logistics firm with revenue of over $800 million with 189 offices in 80+ countries. The client has information flowing from various offices as well as various sources like Shipping ports, freight stations, offices and from multiple Trade-Lanes operating between their 189 offices. To generate financial and operational reports for the business operations, the financial team extracted data manually from multiple sources, which were in different formats, and convert the sources into a single standard format before compiling the reports. From a tactical standpoint, this manual process was slow – taking weeks to complete, error-prone had missing data, was inaccurate and not timely and subject to inconsistent data. This, in turn, was leading to delayed strategic changes in business operations for the Top Management and prevented executive management from implementing strategic changes in a timely manner.
